Eastchester Brokerage Joins Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices

New England Properties entered the Westchester County market July 1 with the acquisition of Prudential Centennial Realty in Scarsdale. The acquired companies now operate as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Westchester Properties to reflect their local market expertise.

Tri-Crest Realty, Inc. is a 30-agent brokerage operating in Eastchester and lower Hudson Valley. The transaction gives New England Properties a total of 56 offices and over 1,600 agents operating in four states, and an even larger presence in New York’s thriving Westchester County market. The new website will be BHHS.Westchester.com.

Veronica Meola, who has owned Tri-Crest Realty for the past 25 years, is the Director of Sales for the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices team in Eastchester. Tri-Crest has been the No. 1 brokerage in Eastchester for more than a decade.

“I was looking for a brand to elevate us in the marketplace, and I feel Berkshire Hathaway has an amazing brand,’’ said Meola, whose office serves Eastchester, Scarsdale, Bronxville, Tuckahoe and the Lower Hudson Valley. “We’re excited to be a part of it.”

“Veronica is a dynamic, positive and dedicated manager,” said New England Properties President and CEO Candace Adams, “and her team is skilled, professional and productive. All told, the brokerage is well suited for our organization with a wonderful culture and similar core values.”

Meola said discussions began with Berkshire Hathaway several months ago. When Meola started the brokerage, there were three agents. She now has a team of 30. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices expects to add more brokerages in Westchester County over the next several months.

“It was definitely emotional deciding to to this,’’ Meola said. “I was so positive of the brand and I’m getting so much more support and resources. I didn’t have the resources as a small company.”

Meola said buyers and sellers will see improvements under the Berkshire Hathaway umbrella, especially on the technical side. “We have a lot more to offer clients,’’ she said. “As a small company, you can’t get involved in everything. Now we feel like we have the support to do that.”

New England Properties is Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ sixth-largest brokerage for volume and one of its first affiliates. The company will continue strategic expansion in key markets, Adams said.

“Our vision is to grow our company organically and through acquisition of high-quality brokerages. Of course, we’re always looking for top-notch real estate professionals with a passion for client service.”

With their transition, Westchester Properties agents gain access to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ Global Network Platform – a robust suite of real estate tools and resources – plus professional education, business consultation, marketing support and the exclusive Luxury Collection program for high-end listings.
