Johnstown man accused of repeatedly raping young girl

Johnstown police say a local man is behind bars following an investigation into accusations that he repeatedly raped a young girl for several years.

Police say in December, officers interviewed the victim, who stated that she had been sexually assaulted by 49-year-old Bryan Miller.

According to the affidavit, police say the victim told officers that the alleged sexual abuse began sometime when she was between the ages of 6 and 8, and ended when she was approximately 15 years old.

Authorities say Miller is accused of repeatedly molesting the victim, making inappropriate comments towards her and touching her inappropriately.

Police say the victim described multiple incidents in which Miller allegedly forced her to perform sexual acts.

Investigators say Miller also reportedly told the victim that he was "teaching her" for when she had a boyfriend.

According to online court records, Miller was arraigned Monday on a variety of charges including rape of a child, felony incest, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault.

He is being held in the Cambria County Prison on $700,000 bail.
