Nicholas Giannantonio, 81, Yonkers Korean War Vet

YONKERS, N.Y. – Nicholas J. Giannantonio of Yonkers died Oct. 10. He was 81. 

Giannantonio was born Sept. 14, 1931, in Yonkers to Joseph and Lucy Orza Giannantonio. He served in the Army as a sergeant from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. 

He is survived by his wife, Maria Carmela Massa Giannantonio; three sons, Joseph (Karen), Anthony and James (Barbara); five grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law. 

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sinatra Memorial Home in Yonkers. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Mount Carmel Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Yonkers.
