'One of the best gigs!' Irish musician Neil Byrne returning to Bedford Co. on solo tour

Bedford County, PA (WJAC) — Next month, Irish vocalist and musician Neil Byrne will return to Bedford County for a stop on his first ever solo tour in the United States

Byrne is a famed member of the internationally successful group Celtic Thunder and previously made a stop in Bedford while touring with Ryan Kelly --- another member of the group.

He has been a part of Celtic Thunder since the group's founding in 2007.

6 News spoke with Byrne on Tuesday and asked him why he enjoys performing in the United States, and specifically in Bedford County.

“I’m deadly serious when I tell you that Bedford is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best gigs in the U.S. It’s a beautiful town and the people are always kind and generous.”

The concert will be held on Sunday, June 18th, at the Clear Ridge Event Center in Clearville.
